About Ring Tones:
Cell phones started out as functional and evolved (for some)
into part of their everyday lives. With this evolution came
entertainment, ringtones give cell phones 'personality'
and allows users to distinguish their phones ring from other
phones that might be ringing.
A ringtone is simply a computer program, stored in the memory
or SIM chip of the cellular phone. Phones that are capable
of melodic tones have a range of notes stored in memory.
The 'ringtone program' simply tell the phones microproccessor
which notes to play, for what length of time in what order.
Nokia developed a programming language for ringtones called
RTTL or Ringing Tone Text Language that is commonly used
and supported by the newer mobile phones.
Different phones can receive ringtones via different methods,
